Using a sphere tool as a base i started to add more to the mesh using the clay build up tool brush to get a certain shape. This also allowed me to define certain facial features. I've adding some eyes within another layer, I selected the smooth brush to soften the edges of the mesh. Afterwards some of the features seemed a bit washed out so i went back in a bit using the Dam standard brush to cut back in to the face.
The image above was my final result and i wasn't very happy with it at all. I then went through a few tutorials online about the basics and after my second lecture i realised that i needed to take my time a bit more in building the base of the mesh up before proceeding to adding the details.
Using the same techniques and processors and started another head sculpture, but this time using the move brush to get a basic shape for my head. After the basic shape was formed I used online references for eye, mouth and the nose of my face to get a realistic looking head.
This is my final outcome of my second attempt at the head test and i was happy to leave it at this stage and was good to see an improvement after a bit of time and research in to the programme.
